Bio

I have been doing genealogical research since 2010, focusing primarily on the Benson (Bengtsson) and Martin families on my mother's side. They emigrated from Sweden and England respectively, and settled in South Dakota. The Martinsen and Chittick families on my father's side. They emigrated from Germany and Ireland respectively, and settled in Nebraska and Missouri. This includes ties to other families through marriage. Though not related, I have also found interest in the Lechner, Stites, and Stroh families of Nebraska. They were long time friends of the Martinsen family.

Lately I have been working photo and research projects at several Jewish cemeteries in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I find it a challenge to provide some detail about the people for whom I create memorials and their family members; adding dates and places as well as linking family members. I typically use Ancestry.com, Newspapers.com, FamilySearch.org, Genealogybank.com, Access Jewish Cleveland Cemetery Database, Cleveland Jewish News Archive, and The Cleveland Necrology File Index as my document sources. Edits that I request on Find A Grave are taken seriously and I must be convinced of a fact before I will submit an edit. If you would like me to transfer any family members please use the (suggest any other correction or addition) form in the Edit utility.
