I began researching my family about 15+ years ago. I have used many web sites including Find A Grave in my search. I found a lot of conflicting information on my own family posted by different family members such as different dates, different names, different mothers and fathers, etc. Therefore when I put information on Find A Grave, I try to verify it before I put it there or make any edits. I have been adding photos and memorials from cemeteries close to us in the last couple months to try and help people find their relatives. Unfortunately I have been criticized by some for trying to be sure the information is correct. I am happy to make edits if there is evidence to support the changes and I am also happy to transfer the memorials to family members. The whole idea is to help people with their family history.
