I am the historian for Elstad Lutheran Church and am trying to preserve the records of the families that worshiped here throughout its history. I have collected obituaries on most of the people buried here after 1900. I'm also working on the genealogies of the pioneer families that were mentioned on a list in the 1924 anniversary booklet. The explanation of the list was "The following is a list of members of the church from its organization, all either deceased or having moved away." The list is now posted in my virtual cemetery "Elstad 1924 Anniversary Pioneer List" There are approximately 175 names on that list.
I'm hoping to collect those pioneer families in my virtual cemetery of Elstad Pioneers and Past Members--all the people that have passed through Elstad Church--baptized, confirmed, married--and on to other places.
