Hello!

Good catch on my great aunt's memorial. Thanks for pointing out the duplicate. It's been out there since 2008 and you're the first to spot it. Are we cousins??

Bethany Cemetery, Aliceville, Pickens, Alabama
Hello!

Thank you for all your hard, dedicated work in making these memorials available to those of us who live far from the roots of our ancestors.

Can you answer a question for me? What is the official name of the Bethany Cemetery in Aliceville, Pickens, Alabama? Is it just the Bethany Cemetery or is it the New Bethany Cemetery? Since you've spent so much time in that cemetery, I consider you the expert. Any help you can give me regarding this question is most appreciated.

Kindest regards,
~lanell rabner

Benjamin & Clary Graves Moseley Cemeteries
Thank you for all your diligent efforts on FindaGrave. I appreciate all your hard work!

These Graves and their daughter Nancy Moseley Hughey are from my research actually located in what on FindaGrave is called the "Brantley Family Cemetery," which is located GPS LATITUDE: 33.53185
LONGITUDE: -84.057667

I would be very interested in any other details you may have showing more specific information on the burial location of my GGG Granduncle & aunt Benjamin & Clary Graves Moseley, whose actual labeled gravemarkers have not been found. But historical documents show Dr. L.G. Brantley and Moseley were buried at same location.

Page 88 of Rainer's Henry County Mother of Counties book specifically states: "Dr. L.G. Brantley (1819-1898) lived near Peachstone Shoals in an old two-story house that stood about where the drive leaves the road to the W.A. Luly home. He is buried at the Benjamin Moseley graveyard on the Luly place. Dr. Brantley was living here during the war of the 60's. . ." Page 270 of The Kelleys of Kelleytown by Martha M. de L'Etoile describes "The Old Moseley Cemetery Kelleytown, Georgia-Henry County and states: Directions from the old Moseley home Kelleytown, Georgia: "In the pasture. The cemetery has been desecrated and abandoned and many of the graves entirely destroyed. It is very difficult to reach. There is no trace of the grave of Benjamin Moseley who was buried here. [others listed as buried here]: Mrs. Nancy L. Hughey, Dr. L.G. Brantley, Martha W. Brantley, Warren H. Brantley."

This appears to be a different location than this Kelley Moseley Family Cemetery (which does indeed include descendants of Benjamin & Clary Moseley).

Thank you so much!

Julia Ann Barham, Ligon
I found your info on the Ligon Cemetery on Find A Grave. I am trying to help a relative find info on Julia Ann Barham. He is writing a book on the Ligon Family. Julia Ann Barham married Thomas Henry Ligon. Thomas Henry had a brother, John Turner Ligon who married Martha Jane Barham. What we would like to know is if Julia Ann & Martha Jane were related. Census records show both girls were born in N.C. If you have any info on this we would appreciate your help. My email add. is bkstarnes@att.net if you would like to email me.
Thank you, Betty (Bolton) Starnes

Are you related to Samuel Hull? My aunt stayed with a cousin, Samuel Hull, who lived on Jones St. in Atlanta, Ga. in 1901.
Thanks,
Louise,
