Hello, and thanks for your comments on Bernard Schmitz. I have uploaded Bernard's christening record (in latin) to his memorial. Best wishes.

Two men named Alex Hunt?
Two people named Alex Hunt?
I have come upon a mystery that perhaps you can help me with. It seems that my ancestor named Alexander Hunt died in Williamson County, IL on October 22, 1905. I have come upon TWO memorials from two different cemeteries!

#28993208 at Worley Cemetery -photo of marker hard to read.
#29036917 at Davis Prairie - no photo of marker

Both say Alexander Hunt died on the same date.
One says inscription says 81 years, 1 month, 5 days.
One says inscription says 18 years, 1 month, 4 days.

It is extremely unlikely that there were two men with same name who died on same day! Perhaps there were markers put in two different cemeteries. Was there an engraver's error on the stone that said 18 years old? Has there been a typo made on the Find A Grave memorial? I would LOVE to see the stone at Davis Prairie!!!

Thank you in advance for your help in solving this mystery!
