RE: Cowdrey Cemetery
I can do it, but it will probably have to wait until after July 4. I will be out of town starting Saturday for the week, but will be happy to do it when I get back.

RE: Nahum Parkhurst/Cowdrey Cemetery
Not too far. It's almost on my way home from work. Let me know if I can be of further help in the area.

I suspect the John & Mehetable Burgess in same cem. are her parents, they are in the 1820 Boonville census with both a son & dau under 10.

James & Experience Bearse
Hi Cathy:
There is a USGENWEB Plympton Mass. Cemeteries,
on-line. I checked it out and there is no
listing at Hillcrest (Old Burial Ground), for
James & Experience Bearse. I have gone there
this past summer to photograph some of the
gravestones. I walked around reading them, I
do not recall seeing any gravestones with the
name Bearse on them. I have also checked the
listings for the cemeteries in Plymouth and Carver but unfortunately did not find James and Experience.
This does not mean that they are not buried
at Hillcrest. Some burials back then for
various reasons did not have a gravestone. Or
maybe they did have gravestones but time has
taken them away. Or their gravestones fell
over and are now buried.
I will keep my eyes open for James & Experience
when photographing at the cemeteries. I am aware
that Bearse could be spelled differently.
Good luck with your search.

RE: Question about Roxana Jane (Pitcher) Ashley
Distantly related. Ancestry calculated this:

Roxana Jane Pitcher
mother-in-law of 4th cousin 3x removed

Thanks for the correction.

Question about Roxana Jane (Pitcher) Ashley
You have two nice memorials for Roxana & her husband, Stephen. My question is this: if Roxana died on May 12, 1828, how can she be the mother of Louisa, born in 1832 and possibly Almira, born in 1828? I know the latter is possible, but the former? The biography in your memorial states 1838, not 1828, as her death year. The Ashley genealogy shows the 1838 date, which is where the biography came from. Did you make an error for her death year, or do you have other evidence of the 1828 date?
