Mary Rogers Bennett
Hello Lois,
Thank you for the info on Mary Rogers Bennett (1694-1751). She is also my 6ggrandmother. I was wondering if you have any more info on that painting you say may be of her. Thank you!

Nathaniel C. Pate
Nathaniel C. Pate could not have married Julie Etta Weaver/Treadaway. He died 05 May 1879, and the wedding was later that month. More likely it was his son, also named Nathaniel Pate. But that's odd too as his last child was born in 1879 to a different mother.

William Rogers 1657-1727
Hi Lois;

I am looking for my 7th great grandfathers grave, William Rogers. I saw where he is also your 7th great grandfather. I will be in SC, NC, and Virginia in about 2 week and would like to find some of my ancestors graves. I have been searching for some of them on The further back I go it seems to be much harder to find them. Do you have any information about William Rogers and his wives and children graves? I would appreciate any information you might have.

Thanks, Larry Rogers, 225-907-4710 ldrogers11 ID on

John Day and Nicholas Day
You have two different "Day" families mixed together. John Day b. 6 Sep 1716 is son of Nicholas Day b. 1645 in Maryland. They settled in Burke Co., NC. The other John Day birth date appox. 1730 was so of Henry Day Sr of Granville, NC.

Beverly Holderby

Saw your memorial for Robert Holderby and wanted you to know that there is a more complete memorial for him #62162289. He returned to Missouri before he died. He was the son of James Monroe Holderby and his second wife Hannah (Bledsoe)McConnell. James Monroe Holderby and my great grandfather, Robert Smith Holderby (1832-1897), were brothers. So I would guess your Robert was named after his uncle.
