Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been hooked on this genealogy habit since I retired in late 1999.

Becoming a contributor to FAG has reinvigorated me as I work to get each individual I research documented for the benefit of future generations. I have found the contributors here to be a great bunch of people.

The FAG editors have graciously transferred over six thousand memorials to my account from that of valued deceased contributor Superkentman. I will be updating these memorials with additional information gathered in my research and will post info received from others. I'll also gladly transfer any of these memorials for which I have no additional information or direct interest.

So far I have been able to cross reference over 17,000 individuals in my tree file to their memorials on Find A Grave.

See my tree file on RootsWeb shown below.

RE: Allen M. Mapes
Janesville! How cool is that. Remember I told you my minister was Herb Saunders, even sent you a look alike picture of him and you mentioned he was like about your sixth or seventh cousin..he lives here in Milton at 366 Bree Drive, phone 868-4080. Where are you two staying in Janesville...been crazy with my 95 yr. old mother, cousin with MS just moving to a little apartment and the two of us trying to find a new health and drug insurance...but I'd love to stop and say HI, being as you are SO CLOSE. If you are staying along Hwy 26 (Milton Avenue) I am all of maybe four miles down the road toward Milton from there.

Allen M. Mapes
Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton, Rock WI.

I have a Mapes Family here in WI. that I just received a questions about. The person is Allen M. Mapes(1881-1912). His head stone says his parents are J.A. & A.C. Mapes Jr. so I have him with parents John August and Augusta Louise Mapes. I assume the "C" would be Augusta's maiden name but I don't know that for sure.
His siblings being Willie (twin?), Anna Mapes Heller, Frank, Edith Mapes Heller, John A., & Mayme L. Mapes Berry.
I recently received a request from a contributor saying he thinks my Allen M. Mapes should be the son of John and Olive Mapes, even though the headstone reads his mother is A.C. Mapes. I don't have access to Obituaries to look this person up. Can you check on this for me.
He says he is going by an obituary for a Howard K. Mapes, which I don't have.
Sorry for the inconvenience but You are the Man for finding out information.

Mary Gates/ First Hopkinton
Hi again... I did claim Mary Gates...but the records show "Kate Stillman Gates" with those dates of 1873-1953. Mary has 1844-1932. There are other "Gates" in the plot area, so I'll photograph them all and let you sort them out! Henry 1897 -1967;Julius 1843-1928; Ora L. 1905-1974.

Hi! For some reason, I never get emails requesting photos anymore...but happened to look to see if there were outstanding requests and found that you have made several.I plan to go out there tomorrow to get what you need, but, must tell you that according to the records, Lydia Burdick (@1845-1917) does NOT have a marker. RE: Thanks
Anytime and Not a Problem.
Now that I know I am supposed to go to my Edit Tab, you can put as much in there as you want. I am now checking periodically.
I've added a few more pictures - had hip replacement surgery in July and finally getting back to being myself again. Just have to take it slow.

Thank you so much for sending the obit along to me. I have posted it to her memorial and I am sure it will be much appreciated by her family.

I'm sorry I've been negligent in responding. Thanks for the edits for her memorial. Do you want me to transfer it to you? I'm guessing you're a relative. If so I'd be glad to do so.

RE: FAG transferrs
Thanks for your response. I do think the edit button takes a lot away from THEM having to do much.

You stated in your profile that Find A Grave transferred a lot of memorials to you and I was wondering how you got them. I asked for one only of a person who was no longer active as I wanted to add lots of info to the memorial and they wrote me back and said I could only get it if I was a relative. I have lots of time to do what you are doing but not sure If I went about asking for one memorial the right way. Thanks for any info you can give me.
