Bio Photo The following memorial is for a dear child abandoned and could use TLC from visitors : Baby Girl April

I've been working on my family's "tree" for several years now and since most of my family burials are nowhere near where I live, Find A Grave has been very helpful to me. I was born in Arkansas but ended up in Texas before I turned one! Family names I am working on are: BLACK, THOMPSON, ALFORD, ELMORE, MARTIN, BOLLS, JESTER, and others. Many of these folks are in Arkansas with some being in Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana (and the occasional drifter out to CA!)

As for the photos I have taken and added to memorials, you are welcome to use them for your personal family trees, on Ancestry.com, etc. No need to ask me first.

And a BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there who claim my photo requests, inform me of problems and generally just help the whole FindaGrave community!

RE: Edgar Toups
To get to the cemetery from
St. Nicholas Church, 7809
Weeks Island Road, go south
to Patoutville Road
(Louisiana 85) and turn left;
continue for three miles; turn
right onto Patout Road
(Louisiana 673); continue for
about half a mile. Look for a
clearing and historical marker
on the left. This is the former
site of St. Nicholas
Church in the community of
Patoutville. The cemetery is
towad the rear and to the left,
behind a red brick building.
Call 577-3524 for directions if
you get lost. Note that distances
are approximate.

RE: Edgar Toups
I notice a few pictures placed on his memorial site. Somebody might have already repaired the grave but you can call Ms. Julaine and find out for sure. With that said,

I went to the site for claims and repairs and nobody has claimed or repaired his grave.

God Bless you for your concern.

RE: Thanks!
Is Curtis Langley related to you? His grandfather Christopher Columbus Langley was the brother of my husband's great great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Langley.

RE: Robert Lee Black?
No Effie was her real name. Her maiden name was Taylor. My grandfather said they had 2 kids a boy and a girl but he can't remember their names. He said he thinks the boys name was Glenn but he can't remember the girl's at all.

RE: Robert Lee Black?
I sent you an email but I don't know if you got it. My grandfather's name is Elmer Black, his parents were Sarah (Wooten) Black and Benjamin Franklin Black. I know Ben was married at least 3 times, with my great-grandmother being his 3rd wife. Sarah was at least 40 years younger than than Ben and died shortly after the birth of my grandfather in 1924. I can find some information on Sarah like that her parent's names were William and Lara Wooten but almost nothing on Ben. I think that Ben was born in Georgia around 1855 but I'm not sure. I don't know if this information can help you find anything out or not but I hope so. Thank you soo much either way!

Robert Lee Black?
I saw that you left "flowers" on Memorial# 100603036. I went to your profile and saw that Black was a family name and was wondering if you were any relation to Robert. He was my grandfather's brother. My grandfather is 92 now and has been wondering for years what happened to Robert's kids. If there is any information you could give me it would mean soo much to me. Thank you.
