Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on my family's "tree" for a couple of years now and since most of my family burials are nowhere near where I live, Find A Grave has been very helpful to me. You are welcome to use any photos I have taken for your family tree (Ancestry.com, etc.) with no need to ask me first. I'm more interested in family trees having photos than who took the photo! Family names I am working on are: Black, Thompson, Alford, Elmore, Martin, Bolls, Jester, and others. Many of these folks are in Arkansas with some being in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana (and the occasional drifter out to CA!)

And a BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there who claim my photo requests, inform me of problems and generally just help the whole FindaGrave community!

The dates are correct. I sat on the ground and traced the numbers. The landowners are so nice, don't you think? I have gone back and visited them since they took me to the cemetery just because they are sweet people! Long ride on a 4 wheeler to get there. Glad they took you up.

Henry Majors correction request
Hi, just a brief note to advise that I checked and see that Uncle Jim's gravestone does show his date of death as the 14th so have approved your request for correction. I am not sure who you are or the interest in my family but welcome the opportunity to serve you in any manner possible. I live abt 8 miles from Lakeview and most of my family are buried there. If you wish, we could add each other as friends on F/G. Feel free to contact me if you need anything in this area. Gary

RE: Madgie McBride
No, she didn't own or work in the flower shop. So, I don't know. She attended Greggton Missionary Baptist Church and then Gilmer Road Baptist Church. She was a resident at the Alpine House for about 4 years. Any of that sound familiar? Maybe just a mystery.
Do you still live in Longview? I live in Colorado now, but try to get to Longview once a year - have a brother in White Oak.
Take care,
Connie

Thanks for Corrections
Mary, thanks for proofing my entries on Find A Grave. I really strive for accuracy, and I'm grateful for your corrections. BTW - sorry to be so long accepting changes. I have been on a work marathon for 120 days (there is a bounty out on my head to file expense reports...) This is also the first chance I've had to try out the new Find A Grave corrections system.

RE: Madgie McBride
Mary,
Madgie was my mother but did not work at the schools in any capacity. I went to Pine Tree graduating in 1968 and went by my nickname, Candy McBride. I do not remember a Mrs. McBride as a teacher while I was there. What years did you attend Pine Tree? Could you have known my mother in some other capacity? She also went by a nickname, Jo McBride and lived on Shofner Drive.
Thanks for writing,
Connie

RE: Josef Martinson
You are welcome. The only information the church had was the date of burial. No birth or death date. If you would like a specific picture of the plot or the cemetery I would be glad to do it for you. The people at the church were very helpful and the director even walked me to the grave. The cemetery is very well taken care of. Bruce

RE: Snell Cemetery
You are welcome. There is a couple I didn't get. It's really hot here. I'll go back this evening and try to get those. I added an infant Thompson yesterday.
