Bio

I've only been into genealogy since December 2011 but for many years I've wondered where my family came from. I started using Ancestry.com and that eventually led me to Find A Grave. Since that time I've grown to enjoy F.A.G. as much as Ancestry.com. It all started when I found out what cemetery my Great Grandfather was buried in by seeing his death certificate on Ancestry.com. His grave was not listed on F.A.G. at that time. None of my family members knew anything about him including his name. I had a cousin that lived a short distance from the cemetery where my Great Grandfather was buried so I contacted him and he and his wife went to the cemetery and took a picture of his headstone and sent it to me. His memorial was the first memorial I put on F.A.G. and that started it all. Since that time I've spent a lot of time walking through cemeteries taking photos of headstones and putting memorials on F.A.G. for the families of the people buried there. So far I've added two cemeteries to F.A.G. that were not on it, one with 31 graves and the other with 458 graves. I feel that the memorials I've added should be controlled by a family member of the person in the memorial so I would be more than happy to transfer any memorial I've added to a family member of the person in the memorial as long as they aren't one of my own family members. If anyone wants to use any of the photos I've put on F.A.G. your more than welcome to use it. I enjoy putting the memorials and the photos on F.A.G. to help people find their relatives and not for the recognition of doing it so feel free to use them.
