My interest in my Family roots has always been there; enjoyed pouring over old photos in my Mother’s and Grandmother’s boxes and asking who they were. Then a teacher asked us to write about our relatives we came from when I was 15 years old and that was when the ‘spark’ took; the kindling lit and … well … the past sixty years have been phenomenal. Discoveries of family I never knew existed; uniting with great grandparents at their graves … not known to me before my interest piqued. Born in Los Angeles, live in Oregon, Maryland and now in Utah since 2003 … and putting off doing things around the house to work on the itch of genealogical research. I am a California gal and learned to years ago that I am in all but one county in Utah and my family is full of pioneers who walked the trek, and I thought I was the first, definitely not true. I learned of this site called FAG and have been helping put photos on here so people can find their families. With the deletion of the old PAF program for saving your family history and having to switch to a new program and putting in the over 22,000 names between my husbands and mine and all those related to our love ones it keeps me very busy. I also help others with their history as they age and can no longer do them, and I love the excitement in their voice and tears as we find new members of their families. Many years ago an aunt of my husband’s gave me pictures of her husband’s family and information about him that she had and my husband asked me what I wanted them for, one to save them from being trashed when she died by relatives that didn’t care, and two because someday someone will want them, and almost twenty years later someone did want them and I had them to share. Now my goal is to find stories about these people to liven up my family. Through this site I have met living relatives as well as deceased and I love being able to do this. I have also learned that some of the many pictures I have added have turned out to be my own family, it is awesome!
My reason for contribute to this site is to honor those who are gone so they will not be forgotten.
I do request for photos in my area, which is in the Provo to Salt Lake area. I try and trim back grass and weeds and sweep away the mowed grass so pictures are clear. I also take pictures as I travel, my rest stops are cemeteries. To everyone I can help.. You are so very welcome! I love doing this and I almost feel like they are all family, and yes I do talk to them. Thank you for letting me be of service to you as well.

Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to this site (FAG), so it is very likely that some of them are actually a part of your family tree and share some of your ancestors. The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, it does not matter who created the memorial or who maintains it. But if you would like to maintain a family site, I do transfer them if need be.
If there are any corrections you see that needs to be made, please let me know by hitting the “EDIT” button, and enter the information, giving your source, I will added it (if correct). I do try to verify what I add to the site.
