Researching:
Backstrom from Sweden to Minnisota, North Dakota then Stettler Alberta. Smith, Babcock, Crandall, Maxson, Furrow from Rhode Island to Illinois.
Clark from Scotland to Quebec, Glengarry Ontario then to Stettler Alberta. Campbell, Munro, McIntyre, McDougall from Scotland to Glengarry Ontario.
Habkirk from Scotland to Seaforth Ontario, Winnipeg, Edmonton then Vancouver. Gautby, Pickersgill, Burkill and Black from Winterington Eng.
Hetherton from Glasgow to Vancouver. Sutherland from Greenock Scotland, Hong Kong then to Vancouver. Holmes, Mann, Carson from Greenock and Gordon from Ireland

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to anyone doing research, if it's not in my family. You know more about the individual then I do. I just ask that if someone who is even closer to that individual reaches out to you, pay it forward and transfer the memorial to them! I am also happy to update the grave as requested.

Please credit original source if you use any of my photos. You may use my photos on Ancestry but please note its from FAG and that I took it. I do my very best to credit others. I owe many finds in my research to the long hours of many other volunteers. For all of them I am truly grateful. My desire is that my work may be found to be helpful and meaningful to others.

Use the {Edit} tab on the Memorial page top right, then the {Suggest a correction or provide additional information} link.

Barbour/McGhee at Staffa cemetary
I have these names in my (amateur) Family Tree book although instead of Jane McGhee, mine reads "Janet"... the mistake could be ours. According to my records, Janet and Robert Barbour had 6 children including a daughter Susannah. Unfortunately no dates exist for them.

Going way back: a Robt. Barbour married a Janet McGhee; "both born in Old Glenlee, Kirkudbrightshire Scotland; moved from Pickering in 1856."

Closer in time, my book shows a Suzannah Barbour marrying John Habkirk. No known children.

My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Alice Catherine Barbour (Jan 3, 1884 - 1962), hailed from a farm near Staffa ON. Her father: R. James Barbour

RE: Chasty Welch
Colin: You're welcome for the information on Chasty Welch. And thank you for the offer, but memorials are probably better off to stay in the hands of younger managers. I do appreciate the work you do in keeping them up. It's good to remember the people who made our lives and our country what they are today.
