Bio

I was born and raised in the Coal Fields of Logan County, West Virginia and have always been interested in my heritage.

I was the type of kid that would sit for hours on end listening to old stories told by my family.

Now that I'm older and raising a family of my own, I realize the importance of writing down and sharing information with others in the hopes that the legacy will be carried to all the generations to come.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like me to do research for you or to send me updated information on the research I've already completed.

I strive for 100% accuracy in the data I post but I am human and will make mistakes along the way. Please let me know of any errors you find a.s.a.p.

I had 2 great grandfathers who fought in the Battle of Blair Mountain so I can honestly say, I'm a redneck and proud of it!"

The mis-interpretation of the actual meaning of the term "redneck" has been lost to the younger generations and is now classified as a racial slur.

This is just one of many examples on why I have become so passionate in educating and preserving our history.
