I have always been interested in history. When I was a boy I wanted to listen to the family elders tell stories, not play with the other children. I spent a lot of time with older neighbors and my grandparents.

I do some genealogy, Find A Grave, and am working on a history of my small hometown.

I am a retired pastor (was a school teacher for 28 years before becoming a pastor from 1995-2013) and enjoy working with people. I visited the elderly of the congregation and loved their stories. I am now retired but still do some visiting of the elderly.

I have been married to Cathy since 1968. She has been in more cemeteries helping me find graves of ancestors and relatives than she ever imagined but is a great sport about it and a great help.

I have always lived in Indiana, mostly in the northeastern part.
