Many of my ancestors crossed the Atlantic Ocean. Some of them walked to Utah. Some of them, died before getting to see the valley, for which they had sacrificed so much. They lie in unmarked graves in Iowa and at Sweetwater. I am dedicated to remembering them, their lives, hopes and broken dreams. I also, want to remind their great-great grandchildren, who largely live lives, trying to keep themselves entertained with electronic devices, that they did not spring from the earth, that they should look back and consider, those who left everything and suffered for a better world, and a more meaningful life. Perhaps paying attention to the old stories, will show our young who they really are. They will not find it on Facebook....About Basic Good Manners....please do not post photos and add flowers "anonymously", as it shows you to be somewhat creepy. Those postings will be removed. If you want a photo posted to a memorial, please include your find a grave name. Regarding photo requests.....I will my best to get photos in this area. Please understand that I am a bit old and creaky and that the weather and roads in rural Utah can be challenging. Also, many of the towns here have two cemeteries, an old one with broken and weather ruined stones and a second one. If you can let me know which one your ancestor is in, the chances of locating them is much better. Mt.Pleasant, Spring City (both) and Moroni are the most accessible for me.
