Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and live on a farm outside of Marble Hill, MO. I am from the St. Louis area so it has taken me time to find all the cemeteries in my neighborhood. I would like to keep my cemetery research to a ten or fifteen mile distance from home. I really enjoy walking the cemeteries snapping photos. I do my best to find the requested tombstones but I like to make the most of my visit so I take photos of all the tombstones. After working with photos for the past two years I have found I could have done better on some shots and that is why I am willing to delete any of my pictures when someone places a better shot. Please notify me so I can delete. I like the new edit program and like that other members are adding information to my memorials. I'm willing to transfer to any relative. Happy to hear from other members and grateful for your help.

I'm sorry, I forgot to add that I added the death certificate as "other". Just wanted you to know :)

Marlene, you have Daniel listed as Padgett...any reason why? His death cert and tombstone say Payton. Just curious. (I have Padgett's in my family in Missouri, that's how I stumbled across this name)

Thank You!

I just wanted to stop for a moment and say thank you for what you're doing as a photo volunteer!

My great grandparents are buried in Marble Hill. Their names were Raymond and Mary Walton. I believe they relocated to Marble Hill from Knox, Indiana when they were elderly as my mother has told me they lived in a senior home up on a hill in Marble Hill.

I was born in Indiana, moved to California when I was 13 and moved my family to Joplin, MO when I was 35. Ironically, my son married a girl from Marble Hill just three years ago.

I visited Indiana last month and located and photographed my maternal grandparents graves. My maternal grandmother (Raymond and Mary Walton's daughter) was ill most of my mother's life. She passed away when my mother was only 17. As a result, my mother was extremely close to her Grandmother -- Mary Walton.

I only tell you all this because my daughter-in-law knows the exact cemetery where my great grandparents are buried in Marble Hill. After returning from Indiana last month and locating my grandparents' graves while I was there, I asked my daughter-in-law if she would try to find Raymond and Mary Walton's graves the next time she visited Marble Hill and take pictures of their graves for my mother.

Today, as I'm researching our family tree further, I decided to search Find-A-Grave to see if their graves were listed and I discovered a photo angel by the name of Marlene has already taken and uploaded the pictures for us!

Marlene, my mother is 86, almost 87 years old. She is an only child and has lost both my father and stepfather. I am going to visit her in California in a few months and I cannot tell you how much it will mean to her to be able to visit Find-A-Grave and see her grandparents' headstones!

I just take a moment to let you know how much of a positive impact you have had at least on one family's life. Thank you once again for what you do!!!

Bless you,

Sandy Lovett
