In October 2011 we drove from Warsaw to Nakło nad Noticą , a small city between Poznań and Bydgoszcz. With a guide we were able to find and walk the grounds of our ancestors. Visiting their churches, cemeteries, and estates was a profound adventure.
Before we traveled to Poland I had already done research,over 10 years, and visited places in the US. Most of the family research could be done in Dodge County, WI and in Family History Centers especially at The Family History Library, Salt Lake City . Pieces from various sources gradually fell together and at last I was able to find birth places.I was now at the stage that I wanted to see the areas in Poland where these people lived. We did just that as well as talked with several accommodating, and friendly priests.

After the trip I felt a circle was completed,i.e. I went back to Smogulecka Wieś where grandparents were born . The search goes on as I look for how they managed to travel and how they chose Dodge County.

I have a tree on Ancestry under Sadoski/Sadowski that you may view if you wish. It is a public tree. Feel free to use any pictures I have .

Other names include: Fromholz, Pisarek (Bisarek), Wrzesinski, Hoffman, Welnicki (spelling varies... all from the Smogulec or Kcynia areasby maps in th. This area of emigration is also confirmed
in Milwaukee Polonia Project Points of Origin. It seems as though these folks used a company that provided their travel from German occupied Poland to Wisconsin in exchange for labor.
