WHITE TANKS: I have made White Tanks Cemetery a personal project. This is a County Cemetery where the indigent are buried. I believe they should be remembered. I have received many msgs from relatives who have been looking for their loved ones. I hope my efforts brings your loved ones home to you. I would like to acknowledge Alexandra Montgomery for many of the pictures of the grave markers, researched the DOB, and links. Diana Coles Haselmyer who has taken a lot of the pictures and created many other memorials here. Jack Jones has been taking pictures of the gravemarkers, birth markers and adding more memorials. I would like to thank him for his wonderful work.
TRANSFERS: Transfers are available by request (with more open options than FindAGrave rules require) in the Suggested Edits "Other Corrections" section of the page you would like to maintain (Click on "Suggest Other Edits" on the suggested edits page of the memorial, and type your transfer request). Transfers are ALSO available for non-mandatory transfers (aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandparents beyond the first generation - 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.-great-grandparents, etc.). Transfers available for personal FRIENDS as well. Please SPECIFY your relationship in your request, as I maintain multiple pages at the request of their families. Transfers are not guaranteed due to specific requests by some families.

(DISCREPANCY ON MARKERS) SOME MARKERS HAVE THE CORRECT DOD, SOME HAVE THE DATE OF BURIAL, AND SOME NOW HAVE ONLY THE DATE OF BIRTH ON THE MARKERS. The county was contacted they are now putting DOB on the markers and no DOD because of the discrepancies.
If you visit a memorial please leave flower for those you visit.

Poem: THIS IS A CEMETERY

Lives are commemorated – deaths are recorded -
families are reunited – memories are made tangible – and life is undisguised.
This is a cemetery.

Communities accord respect, families bestow
reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby
enriched.

Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life – not death –
of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining
source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people – a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.
