Elusive Grave of Lewis Griffin Roper

If you ever find anything on the subject I would be forever grateful to know it.

The subject, Lewis Griffin Roper is my GG Grandfather. He died 27 May 1847 from a fractured skull. He was struck by a slave with a hoe. His plantation was north west from Shellman, GA. On land lots 153 and 154.
I don't know if he was buried in a cemetery or on his plantation.

I thought you might be looking around in that area of Randolph County.

Thanks for your response. Yes we are deffinately cousins. We just went on a road trip last weekend to East Texas, Cass Co. to visit all the Taylor graves,(man there are lots of Taylors there), and was able to get into the McDonald Cemetary in Montague,Tx. to see my Great Grandfather James M Taylor's Grave and others. Thanks for all the links in the Taylor Family.

Thank you very much for being so thoughtful and transferring my grand aunt's memorial over to me. The gesture means a lot. And I want to give you a great big thank you for creating her memorial in the first place, and then for maintaining it. Your work doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks again.
