Bio and Links
Bio Photo Importance of family history was instilled in me at a very young age. I have and know a lot of history on my side of the family. However, my husband side, the Gilly/Gilley family from Southwest Virginia Big Stone Gap area, we did not have much until recently.
My fathers family was Habegger's. His mother was a Roth. My mothers family was Hinkle's. Her mother was a Dedrick from Southern Indiana.

By any chance, do you know anything about this person? I can not find a death certificate for him either. I can not find anyone with the last name of Mason dying in that year. I even checked Ky and Tenn. Do you know any way or any one that could help?

Could you please give me directions to this cemetery? Gilley Cemetery in Wise Va. This could possibly be my Great Grandfather. The dates seem in line with what I know. I have been looking for about 15years for him.

Gilley Cemetery
I think the only broken stone is My Aunt Martha Wampler Gilley

Gilley Cemetery
The photo you added to the Gilley Cemetery on Baum Hollow Road looks likes the hill for the Pete Gilly Hill Cemetery on Maples Gap Road in Crackers Neck. This cemetery has lots of broken and unreadable monuments not the Gilley Cemetery on Baum Hollow Road.
