FIND A GRAVE PURCHASE BY ANCESTRY.COM Ancestry owns Find A Grave So, Find A Grave is a GENEALOGICAL RESOURCE. It is now cataloged and used extensively by Ancestry.com

DEFINITION OF A MEMORIAL: A memorial is a statue, holiday or statement in honor of an event or someone who has passed away.

TRANSFER REQUESTS are made in accordance with Find A Grave guidelines. READ THE GUIDELINES! Your relationship MUST be included in transfer requests. I confirm a relationship before transferring a memorial.

TRANSFERS, UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS must be made with the SAC EDIT tab on each memorial. Requests made via personal email or FAG public message board will NOT be honored. FAG gives 30-days to respond to requests. Requests should be made in a courteous and respectful manner. PLEASE and THANK YOU go a long way.

BIO'S and links should NOT be removed from transferred memorials. Please be respectful of the time and effort that goes into writing an individual biography. Individuals who do this will be refused future transfer requests.

DUPLICATIONS: Duplicate memorials are not created intentionally.

FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES: I do not 100% agree with the "old" guidelines created by the founders, and have only quoted, or referred to the guidelines that I support. I am hopeful Ancestry.com will make some positive changes in the future.

HARRASSMENT AND THREATS: Periodically, I received an undesirable communication threatening me personally or professionally. Those types of communications will be forwarded to FAG management for their consideration. Members can BANNED for those behaviors. As a result, I have removed my email contact information and message board.

PRE-NEED MEMORIALS: I do add these memorials when I transcribe from cemetery records. My objective is to make sure these memorials are managed by family members and not an OBITUARY HOUNDS who often hold the memorials hostage and won't transfer them.

I will have my cousin (who can access more LDS-Family Search records than I can..He is a member) check when I go to my aunt's on Monday. I was excited to know that someone else was artistic! My aunt and 2 cousins, have drawings and have paintings. Both of my children are artistic...in music and in art (they are about to graduate High School). My daughter is in going into her 4th yr. of Varsity Choir. My son is in his 4th year of Art and Engineering. PLEASE let me know, if you find Michele. I have a lot of family info to share with her. And I am sorry that you had to take down your site. Please, bear with me, if I send corrections. Hope to hear back from you! Katherine Baxter

I am SO glad to see your site back up. My cousin and I are working on the Baxter Family. I have been trying to connect everyone that I can on Find-A-Grave, so that it will be easier for researchers. I have pics from the late 1800's and 1900's of the Baxter family. I am a descendant of Joseph William Baxter's brother, James Ruben Baxter. James was the oldest of the 5 surviving children of William and Margaret. I knew John and Gladys had no children, but I didn't know about Joe and Dovie. Please let me know how to contact you, if I find info to help you... or email me. Thanks!

Brock Bierman
DeArmit Family
Hello,

Thank you for your help and assistance finding our ancestors. I am researching my wife's side of the family, specifically the DeArmit family and noted that you created a list for John DeArmit born 1787 died 1870. Would you be willing to share your research? I am happy to share what information I have on the family. I am specifically trying to determine if this John is the same John who is father to Alexander DeArmit who was born in 1827 and died in 1864. My understanding is that an obit exists, however I have not located it to date.

Warm regards,

Brock Bierman

William Richards
Hello, You posted that William Richards' (#54062445) burial place was published in the Bedford Gazette on May 21, 1909. Was this a list for Memorial Day? Do you have an electronic copy that you could send me? Thank you so much! Joseph
