I enjoy doing genealogy research primarily across the Deep South (my daddy's side of the family) and the Midwest (KS/MO/OK) (my mama's side of the family). Of special interest to me are Autauga County, AL cemeteries, especially Liberty Baptist Church and Pine Level Methodist since most of my kinfolks are buried there. In addition, I am a graduate of Marbury High School (my grandmother, dad, brother, sister, husband, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother-in-law and other various kinfolks also attended MHS) so anything going on in the local community is of interest to me. I enjoy researching all the Autauga County connections and helping people with genealogy. Also, I am a member of the Autauga Genealogical Society and the Old Autauga Historical Society.

My family was in Alabama before it was a state when it was still a part of the Mississippi Territory. I am a direct descendant of Epps Tatum who was an early settler in Autauga County and was listed on the 1815-1817 Census for Monroe County in the Mississippi Territory. (Autauga County was not created until 1818 and Alabama became a state in 1819.) Epps died in July of 1835 in Autauga County and left behind many, many descendants.

Pine Level Methodist Church was established in 1833 and the first church was a single room in a log cabin. The original land for the church was donated by William "Billy" Tatum, my 4th great-grandfather and son of Epps Tatum.

Also, I am a direct descendant of Fleming Atkins Goolsby who moved to Autauga County from Oglethorp County, Georgia just prior to the 1860 Census. He and his family appear in Pine Flat, Autauga County, on the 1860 Census. He donated the land for Liberty Baptist Church and is also buried there. Other direct lines are Carr, McDonald, Cooper, Hammond, Vaughn, Ussery, etc.

I have direct lines in Perry County, AL, but am not that familiar with Perry County since I never lived there. Some of my direct ancestor lines from Perry County are Duncan/Dunkin, Townsend, Church, Holley, Fowler, Brasher/Brazer, Lawson, etc.

Some of my husband's lines are Sanders, Dopson, Dennis, Callaway, Wingard, Hicks, etc.

I do not mind at all if my photos are used for your personal research and family records so no need to ask for permission. I believe any photos I take of your family headstones and family members belong to you--the family! (Also, some of the photos were taken by my dad since he took lots of pictures.)
