Bio

I began my family research, "hobby", in 1975 and soon realized that it is much like putting a jigsaw puzzle together except the more questions you answered, the more you created and the puzzle was never completed.
My great-grandparents were from Baden Germany and the Oxon region of England. I am a member of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) and all of us enjoy our immense freedoms today because of our ancestor's duty to their country - whether it be today or as far back as the Revolutionary War and all battles between the two.
I link my direct ancestors to their parents where possible and whenever possible leave information to help link them to their "Old World" roots. My mainline famly surnames are Surman/Sailors,Owens, Bachman/Homewood, Wehde, Haas/Schmitt, and Gerken/Kneivel.
I authorize anyone to use only my tomb- stone photos and will transfer memorials if requested (as long as the memorial is not one of my direct line ancestors) and your relationship is closer than mine or your knowledge exceeds mine. I will try to correct errors other than cited material - be patient for the corrections.
