Thank you Theresa for the location of my Aunt Alma. My Aunt Edna was unsure of where she was buried.. and there was no one left for me to ask. Thank you so much :)

RE: Louisa M. Taylor Floyd
I have been unable to find where Americus is buried. One family story is that she was buried near where they lived at the time, which could have been in Kentucky, near Williamsport, Indiana, or near Winthrop, Indiana. That's yet another mystery I'm trying to track down!

I'm not sure why Thomas Mason's gravestone says he was born in 1879 unless it was a mere mistake. Three year's difference seems to be a big mistake, though, doesn't it? All other accounts of his birth (and of Grandma Eliza's) say 1882.

I would love it if you would transfer Louisa's memorial to me. I'll take good care of her!

Thanks bunches,
Linda Haynes

Louisa M. Taylor Floyd
Hello Teresa,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the memorial and write-up you did on Find-A-Grave for Louisa Taylor Floyd (Memorial #153085595). She was my great-great grandmother. Our family knew that she died while giving birth to my great-grandmother, Eliza Floyd Collins and her twin, Thomas Mason, but I don't believe anyone knew where she was buried. Now I have a hint, and I'll try to follow the trail to find the family farm where they lived. The rest of the story is that yes, the twins were raised by their uncle and aunt, and my gr-grandma Eliza named her first two babies after them--my grandfather, John, and his sister, Americus (who died tragically at age 3 or 4 after she fell into the hearth).

There is still an annual family reunion of descendants of Eliza and Thomas, Louisa's twins.

Much gratitude to you for what you do. Thank you again!
