Bio

I have been working on genealogy for about 20 years now. I have over 10,500 family members in my database. The families are primarily from Dodge, Green, Jefferson, Lafayette & Rock counties in Wisconsin and Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Ogle & Winnebago counties in Illinois. Most had their origins in Prussia (Pommern), Germany, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Names on some memorials may be confusing because I generally use the given names as they appear in church records and they may differ somewhat from the names as they appear on headstones. I do make an effort to put photograph on as many memorials as I can to show their common names and link family members.

Oh, the dog? She's Xena, a little 12 pound terrorist. She loves to ride around the countryside when I'm visiting cemeteries but doesn't seem to understand why she can't walk them with me. I make time to walk the rural roadsides with her though. She's a city dog though and doesn't quite seem to know what to make of the cows and pigs.

Sadly Xena was suffering from all the ailments of advanced age and got to the point where she had to be put down. She is missed!
