|Janis Babb||LILLIE DELL GUILE|
Thank you for locating my mothers uncle (William Calvin Swing) He was married to Lillie Dell Guile. I wonder if she is buried in the same cemetery.
Lillie Dell Guile SWING 1867-1914. I hope you have better than I have been having. They also had at least 2 young children who died. Maybe they are there also.
Thanks, Janis Webb Babb
|Janis Babb||WILLIAM CALVIN SWING|
Hi, I think I have a relative buried in the Randolph Cemetery. Is it located just off highway that goes through Kokomo, Howard Co. Indiana? If so, it is just South of town.
My mothers uncle is supposed to be buried here. Is there any way you can check with the cemetery to make sure I have the correct cemetery? His name is William Calvin Swing died in 1938. Thank you,
Janis Webb Babb
|Laurie Stewart Tokarsky||Adams Family|
I think that both Nehemiah Adams(1692-1752)# 137492424 & Isaac Adams(1694-1757)# 137491723
are brothers not son & father.
Please take a look & correct them.
Thank you for the information on Deacon Adams in Revolutionary War Cemetery in Cavendish, VT.
|TJ & Angel||Nancy Ida (Hart) Miller|
My name is Angel Williams. TANGELJ on Ancestry.com.
Nancy Ida (Hart) Miller is my Great x 2 Grandmother. My mom, Margie Ann (Miller) Bell ~ 20 JUL 1943, is her Great Granddaughter. She was born in White Hall, Greene, IL. My mother never knew her Father, Fred Warren Miller, as he was only married to my Grandmother- Margaret Louise Atkinson for barely a year. We have so many questions and would love a few pictures of the Harts & Miller Families if possible. My Mom, Maggie Miller, only has us 5 Children and our children and a Half-sister left living . (Mary (Kimbrell) Hardenbrook. If you have any information, or could point me in the proper direction, I would love it. I just received my Ancestry DNA results. The Miller Family is why I began this Ancestry/Genealogy journey. Thank's for all you do. It's so fascinating and appreciated.

|Jerry Chaney||RE: Relative......?|
I just got a death certificate from my gr-gr-grampa Wm Chaney's daughter which had her father's birth place as Jefferson County, Tn. that's the second document that says this. One of his Confederate Documents says also that he was born in Jefferson County. I always heard that he was born in Grainger County. I always thought that the Roane County Chaneys were related to the Jefferson County Chaneys. I had my DNA done. I'm really anxious to see the results of a male Chaney from Jefferson County. I think that would confirm it. My Gr-Grampa Alexander was born in Roane Co., but married a gal (Nancy Evelyn Bettis) from Jefferson County. I always wondered how he met her. I could only imagine that he was visiting relatives in Jefferson at the time. The Bettis family lived close to the Chaneys at the time in Jefferson.
Let me know if and when you or another Chaney from Jefferson gets their DNA done.

My name is Jerry Chaney and I descend from the Roane County Chaneys in Tenn. My great-grampa Alexander Chaney married a girl from Jefferson city, Jefferson, Tenn. Her name was Nancy Evelyn Bettis, dau of Duke Anderson Bettis and Martha Phillips. I've been trying to find out if I'm related to the Jefferson County Chaneys. I was wondering how Alexander met Nancy E Bettis. Why would he be in Jefferson Co., unless it was to see a relative. Alexander's father was William Chaney, who was born in Grainger Co., and moved to Roane around 1840 or so. He was born in 1824 or 25.
I was just wondering if you might have entered your DNA with Ancestry.com. I did, and was hoping to find out for sure if I'm related to the Jefferson Chaneys. They have a lot of the same family names. Living right next door to Jacob Allen Bettis (Duke Anderson's bro) was William Frank who was married to a Chaney girl from Jefferson Co. Can't remember her name. And your ancestor Amanda Chaney married Pryor C Bettis. When Alexander and Nancy married, they went back to Roane Co., but they moved back to Jefferson long enough to have 3 kids there. Then they moved to Haskell County, Texas around 1898. Let me know if you did the DNA thing. Sure would like to find out for sure.
