I added the info to George T. Smith Jr. and linked a few more kids to the parents. I also added a photo to your memorial for George T. Smith Sr. I thought I had created memorials for everyone in Miller Cemetery, but obviously, I missed him! I'm glad you added him. Thanks for the obit and links - send as many as you like and additional info for any of my memorials......it's no problem!
|Darrell||Corrections to John and Wm Evans|
I have been researching the Evans Cemeteries in Pineville Kentucky and find there are 4 family cemeteries with the name Evans. There names, general location, and known burials can all be found at the Bell County Library website address of http://www.bellcolib.org/cemeteries.htm. They are known as Evans, Evans 2, Evans 3, and Evans 4 Cemeteries. These names are in common use on other cemetery sites as well. You have posted a memorial to John Evans (# 112106836) and Wm H. Evans (# 112106128) to the Evans Cemetery site. I have taken the information from the Bell County Library pages and created the Evans 2, 3 & 4 sites. In doing so, my research shows John and Wm to be buried at Evans 3 (This can be verified through several sites if needed). Before finding your memorial, I setup memorials for John and Wm under the #'s 128532260 and 128524687 on the Evans 3 Cemetery site. I would like to merge our memorials and place them in what I believe is the proper location. Of course, this would mean deleting the ones you have setup. I have never done a true "merging" of memorials, but if nothing else I would be willing to copy your information into mine and give you credit of course. I too, have posted photo requests for these individuals. Please take a look at the memorials and the bell county webpage and let me know if you agree and maybe together we can help other researchers. Thank you for your time, Darrell Lewis. (3rd great-grandson to Wm Evans)

Alfred H Dupuy died on Feb 23 not Feb 3 per your message to me. I have updated his file with your message except the dates of death
|Jerry Chaney||RE: Relative......?|
I just got a death certificate from my gr-gr-grampa Wm Chaney's daughter which had her father's birth place as Jefferson County, Tn. that's the second document that says this. One of his Confederate Documents says also that he was born in Jefferson County. I always heard that he was born in Grainger County. I always thought that the Roane County Chaneys were related to the Jefferson County Chaneys. I had my DNA done. I'm really anxious to see the results of a male Chaney from Jefferson County. I think that would confirm it. My Gr-Grampa Alexander was born in Roane Co., but married a gal (Nancy Evelyn Bettis) from Jefferson County. I always wondered how he met her. I could only imagine that he was visiting relatives in Jefferson at the time. The Bettis family lived close to the Chaneys at the time in Jefferson.
Let me know if and when you or another Chaney from Jefferson gets their DNA done.

David, I saw you have a picture posted of William. He is my 2nd great-grandfather. Is there any way I could get a copy of the picture you have? And do you have any others?
|Sharen Shultz Bowers||Fred Beoddy|
I am not related to Fred so I am transfering him to your care.
I've added all the info you sent. If you'd like me to transfer this memorial to you, please let me know.

Hello again, I will go ahead and attach Paul to his mother. But I think I will hold off until we can prove his father. A picture of his mother's gravemarker would be nice, maybe the father's name would be on the same stone. Thank you for pointing out the connection.

Hi there, I started to connect Paul to his father per your request. The name that came up doesn't match the name that was his fathers name in Paul's obituary. Can you set me straight on the confusion?

I made the changes to the memorial.
The cemetery records say he was born in 1920.
Can you tell me where you found the 1923 date?
