I was born in Modesto, California. My mother's large family came from Florida and in researching our family roots, I became very interested in geneaology and have done extensive research on both sides of our family. I discovered excellent information on the Find A Grave site and enjoy using it in my quest to discover more details about my family. With a ton of help from my Swiss friends and family I have traced my father's family back to 1491 in Switzerland. I have also discovered my roots on my mother's side which go back 5 generations to Ireland. My husband's family can be traced back 5 generations on his mother's side to England and on his father's side 4 generations back to Basque country in France.
