Welcome ! |
To everyone who has taken their valuable time to create online memorials - thank you. It is wonderful to find an ancestor's memorial online.
For the volunteer photographers around the world who have taken photos by request, I really appreciate your generosity of spirit.
I enjoy photography. It is an honor to help someone find a relative's last resting place and remember them with a photo. If I have fulfilled your photo request, you may copy my photo as you wish.

|~Marcia||RE: Thank you for the Appleby Plot info|
You are very welcome ... actually, the info comes from Shutterbug who normally provides any plot information or otherwise from the cemetery along with their photographs. But I enjoy making the editions.

|Robert Yarrington||(John?) Dorland & Isabella (McDonald) Waite|
Your edit request to add "John" as the first name of Dorland Waite has me wandering. I'm trying to find the birth record that shows his name as John but I'm not having much luck. I did find that most records show his name as Dorland rather than Darland. I used the transcribed spelling from Alice's death certificate which shows Darland. Alice's marriage record appears to be a better source so I changed it to Dorland. Can you tell me where to look for that birth record?
|Syd Gardner||You asked about ~|
~ the spelling of Susie A (Slinkard) Lane's married name: I suspect it should be Lane rather than Layne as I'd had it before, so I've now changed it, the previous spelling of it probably being the fault of my keyboard having a mind of its own! Of course, it might actually have been my own mistake, but then. . . !
BROOKS MISKIMAN Kathleen d. 1966, BC 1966-09-010029 death registration
please review this death record for Kathleen Miskiman. I requested some changed but was denied. Possibly, with this death record, you will understand why I asked for these changes. There have been 3 of us in Canada collaborating on the Brooks genealogy that statred in the early 1800s in King twp, Ontario and some family moved onto the prairie, mainly Pense and Belle Plains, Bethune and then further to the coast.
She is my husband's 2nd cousin 2x removed.
with her parents: microfilm T-6553: 1901 Canada Census: Assinaboia West, NWT Fairville, pg 4, lot 10-18-23 W2, 160 acres
BROOKS, John H, born 23 Aug 1864, age 36, born Ontario
Margaret, wife, born 25 Jan 1871, age 30, born Ontario
children: Phoebe, born 21 Feb 1892, age 9, born Ontario; Catherine V, born 28 Aug 1894, age 7, born Ontario; Margrt T, born 2 Apr 1897, age 4, born Ontario
thank you for your time, Karen
Annie May Gibbens
I just contacted relatives and according to my Canadian relatives:
According to Glen, May Smith Dottridge and Grandpa Ancel had two children John Gibbens and May Gibbens.
May Gibbens lives approximately 45 minutes from our home and Glen has visited her on a few occasions.
The find a grave write up is incorrect and the lady they mention on the site Annie May Gibbens is not a relative as we looked up her death certificate and she died in 1960 and her husband was Patrick Gibbens and Annie May's last name isn't Smith Dottridge. Unfortunately some things can get mixed up along the way.
So she shouldn't be connected to my Gibbens
Hope this isn't too confusing

Memorial looks good to me. I deleted the one I had made and removed parents link first so that they would not show as ghost links on your memorial. Sometime F_A_G seems to keep them from showing, other times they do show and then you have to send to edit to get them removed.
Possible the divorce on 1930 is incorrect, but it is more usual for a divorced woman to say she is a widow rather than admitting a divorce. I have seen that a lot. So far as I know TN does not have divorce records on line at least not for that time. I think I have seen some very old ones, but don't remember where. At least we have found a lot of inf for Benj. and all or most of his siblings linked to the parents.

Birth date evidently a typo, below is from his death cert and looking close at the headstone photo it is 1844 not 1874. I did not catch that and will send an edit. The manager of his Memorial did add the death cert inf to his bio.
Name: Green D Belcher
Birth Date: 4 Feb 1844
Birth Place: Tennessee
