It's a gratifying activity to add to or establish memorial pages for friends, family members and others, and to assist fellow 'gravers' who've made this all possible.|

The poem is commonly used on soldiers memorials, so, of course you can freely use it too.

|Brent Stevens||Max Knoch|
Thanks for adjusting the photo.
I have documented the entire OLD SECTION of the cemetery....751 graves.
|Linda Lee Holmes||Bertha Engel|
I notice you have posted a photo of Berths taken at a family party. Is there any chance you would have photos of either of her sisters, Dora and Rose? Thank you.

Sorry about the delay
|Nikita Barlow||Clarence Derwent|
Thanks so much for your message! I'd thought that contacting AEA would prove worthwhile, and really appreciate your kindness in letting me know that it was. Thanks for the link, too, as my old copies of Equity News are long gone.
Memorials transferred. I;ve been out of town last week. sorry for the delay!
|Diane Reich||David & Rica Beermann|
I just added memorials for David & Rica Beerman. They are buried in the same plot as Adolf & family. Ancestry has funeral record for David which lists him as a brother to Adolf, Joseph, Freda, Ida & Bertha Cramer. I am not related. If you would like me to transfer memorials, just let me know.
|Nikita Barlow||Elfrida Derwent|
I've learned that Elfrida & Clarence Derwent were not husband and wife, but siblings. Elfrida, who was a few years older than Clarence, was also in theatre, and had appeared on the London stage before immigrating to the US after World War I. She made her Broadway debut in 1925, and like her brother, played character roles. They were very close and frequent professional collaborators. When Clarence founded what has come to be known as the Derwent Awards, his philanthropy was a secret shared only with his lawyer and Elfrida.
I uploaded photos for your relatives in Friesenberg. I have larger photos and other ones if you are interested,

|Nikita Barlow||The Derwents|
I don't know if the Derwents had children; if they did, it's possible that they or other relatives have been involved with the Derwent Awards. You may want to contact Actors Equity Association, 165 W. 46th St, NY, NY 10036, Tel. 212-869-8530. Clarence devoted years to the union, and someone on the staff may be able to give you more info or connect you with an old-timer who worked with him.
Another source: the NY Public Library's Theatre Division at Lincoln Center, on the 3rd floor. The collection there includes individual folios containing newpaper articles et al for Broadway stars like Derwent. If you're able to visit, it's open Monday through Saturday, noon to 6PM, with hours extended to 8PM on Monday & Wednesday. Reference assistance by e-mail: email@example.com.
Good luck with your search!
