Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whom loves her family deeply and wants them to know their family History so I am willing to help others do the same.

I welcome death cert's as families may not know if cancer ect... runs in family and this would be a resource. Also, DAR wants proof like from family bible or death or birth certificates, deeds or wills.

Take nothing but ancestors, leave nothing but records.

I make transfers per FAG Guidelines. This would be your great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

Genealogy is my Past time
I shall not stray
It maketh me to lie down
And examine half-buried tombstones
It leadeth me into still courthouses
It restoreth my Ancestral Knowledge
It leadeth me into the Paths of Census Records
And ships Passenger lists for my names sake
Yes, though I wade through the Shadows of Research Libraries
and Microfilm Readers
I shall fear no Discouragement
For a Strong urge is with me
The curiosity and Motivation
They comfort me
It demandeth preparation of Storage Space
For the Acquisition of Countless Documents
It annointeth my Head with burning Midnight Oil
My family Group sheet runneth over
Surely birth, marriage and death dates
Shall follow me all the Days of my Life
And I shall dwell in the House of a
Family History Seeker Forever. Unknown

One more thing--your memorial 140971795 says Temperance's husband Eli was born in Scotland. It would be great if you could point me to your source for that information. Eli was my gg grandfather's brother, and I've been trying to figure out where they were born--and am seeking more documentation on their parents William Robertson and wife Mary. My information says Eli and brother Calvin were probably born in the Carolinas, but the records are not consistent.

Thanks again,
Vic Robertson

Temperance was my gg grand aunt. I just submitted an edit for her name and date of death. I recently found her grave in Normandy, TN. You can see photos at Find A Grave# 17833349. The headstone lists 2 Aug 1884 for her death and spells her name "Robertson". So there are two Find A Grave memorials for her. I haven't checked but maybe there is a duplicate memorial for her husband Eli as well.

Perhaps we can merge the two memorials.

Thank you,
Vic Robertson

That is confusing. 126087145 offers a photo though. I think the contributor of the photo visited Sigma when she was visiting family in Lee Co.

Harold Richard O'Cull - 1925-1964
Okay, my wife talked with Marie's sister. The story is the Harold is buried at Dayton Memorial (Find A Grave #127437865). Marie thought about having him moved to Woodland with their daughter, Sharon, but decided against it and decided to just have his name on the marker with Sharon. She decided that she wanted to be buried there as well. Ego, the marker with their three names.

I deleted my Find A Grave entry.

Thanks for the notification.

Re Harold at Find A Grave #61520167 vs 127437865.

You are right. This is confusing. His wife, Marie, was my wife's cousin. My wife will check with Marie's sister to see if she has any definitive information regarding this. As you saw, there is a marker for him, Marie and their daughter, Sharon, at Woodland.

Also, the "son James" mentioned in the obituary is not his son. James William Greer is Marie's son by her previous marriage to William Greer. The other tree children are Harold and Marie's.

Thanks Debra.

So that photo on find a grave is Melvie, Sarah and Jessie? He must have sent a copy to my great-grandfather, as I have the same picture in these old photos I have. I was trying to figure out who it is.
