Please feel free to use any photo that I have posted for your own "personal use" on any website. I am not the photograph police, and I believe it's helpful to have photos of your ancestors or their graves – I know that it was helpful to me. Not to mention that I was thrilled beyond belief to get a "first glimpse" of my ancestors or their close relatives that I could look at any time in my own family tree.

My ancestors are primarily from Berks County and the southeast PA area on my father's side. Surnames are Becker, Bitting, Brunner, Coller, Degy (Dagon,Dege), Finger, Flick, Fry, Grosscup, Hildebrandt, Hill (Hiel),Hoffman, Homan, Levan (Levering), Manning, Merkel, Rapp, Stephens, Stoudt, Troop and Trostle. His heritage is mainly German, English, Irish, Swedish, Scottish and the Baltic States area in Europe. My mother's side is much more varied. Her father was a first generation Italian American, surnames Scalzi (changed to Churico upon arrival in America) and possibly Novelli. Her mother was from the West Virginia - Ohio area. When I traced my maternal grandmother's ancestry back, many of her ancestors came originally from Southeast PA. There were also 2 lines (Small and Hall) from the New England area, with ancestry that looks like it may stretch all the way back to the Mayflower landing in Plymouth, Mass., though it would probably be difficult to prove conclusively. Many of my grandmother's ancestors were here prior to 1700, and there is definitely Native American ancestry somewhere back there. Surnames on my maternal grandmother's side are Brookhardt, Fleak, Frazee, Gill, Hall, Houser, Kohler, Myers, Potts, Sams, Small, Varner (Warner), Weigel (Wigal), and Zentmyer (Sauntmire).
