I have entered all of the memorials for the "Leenerts" cemetery in rural Adams county outside of La Prairie, Illinois. This cemetery is located on the land that was originally part of the Leenerts homestead. My father, Clarence Leenerts, grandson of Leenert Ludwig Leenerts (see memorial in the Golden Memorial Gardens, Golden, Illinois)was the caretaker of the cemetery for decades prior to his death in 1999. A cousin who resides near the cemetery has taken over the task (bless her). I entered the 38 names using a diagram and list compiled by my father when he had the cemetery registered in 1991. The first photo of the cemetery was taken in 1991 in the late fall. The other photo was taken 5/29/13. All of the tombstones that exist have been photographed. Some are in poor condition.
