Fourth great grandddaughter of Revolutionary War Veteran, Job Sosebee and his wife, Elizabeth Tankersley Sosebee. Second great granddaughter of Jesse and Catherine Akins Fields, Union County, Georgia pioneers. Second great granddaughter of Corp. William Wade Sosebee, a casualty in the Battle of the Wilderness, Spottsylvania County, Virginia, C.S.A. |
I love the memory of those gone before me. I think about their lives, joys and sorrows. I admire the faith that many of them exhibited in the way they conducted themselves here and their hope for tomorrow.
Researching the Fields, Sosebee, Wilson, Curtis, Davis, Jarrard, Lark, Bradley, Adcox, Moore, Poston, Seabolt and Turner lines.

Oops! sent too soon. You asked if I was related , no I am not I just took the picture and posted it to the memorial page created by Carolyn Farnum who is probably not related to him either.
Carolyn has added thousands of memorial pages in the Puget Sound, Washington state area and I have add thousands of picture.

Glad it all worked out - good news to hear, and I appreciate you letting me know.
PS- I know Barbara Clark also, very nice lady, she's a member of the genealogical society and we volunteered together at the Reunion of Upcountry Families held at SWU last month.

I see another contributor has duplicated Ralph and Lila in New Silver Brook Cemetery again. There was another contributor who did it (L.Weems-Hyatt) and I got her entries merged into yours in Forest Lawn. Now they have been placed in New Silver Brook again by Barbara Clark. Is there a record or obit somewhere that states their burials were at New Silver Brook and people keep finding that record? The other dupes were made from photos but this most recent one had no photos on it.
I saw where you contacted Barbara about her entry for Lila, didn't know if you saw Ralph had been duped there too. If she responds can you ask her where she had information they were in New Silver Brook? Also, if they aren't deleted in 30 days I can get these merged for you too.
I am connected to the Seabolts, but still trying to work out the exact relationship. As best I can tell, John Joseph Conrad Seabolt and Ah-Le-Cie Sarah Elizabeth were my 5th great grandparents (if I have done the trace back correctly and haven't added or forgotten anyone)

you are welcome
|Thomas||RE: Helen Garrett|
Was Helen buried at the Burris-Eskew cemetery?
I'm unclear on what exactly happen. I was told the graves from the Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery were relocated to Salem Baptist Church Cemetery but that makes no sense as Ebenezer Baptist Church (the old Salem Baptist Church) has a huge cemetery (which I also went to to look for headstones).
The sign at Salem Baptist Church says "Burriss Cemetery 1840"
The unknowns at Salem are actually from Burriss and are in their own section.
