I have been interested in family history (mine and any one else's) for as long as I can remember but actively started researching my husband's ancestors in Maine in the early 1990's. We moved to Maine not knowing that many of his family lines originated here. My specific interests are the Mitchells, mainly the Mitchells of Georgetown/Bath and Leeds. My wish is that I will solve the mystery of who were the parents of Thomas and Joseph Mitchell of Leeds? I have my own ideas. Most of what is published has been proven wrong. Other family names include Lemont, Jacobs, Gilbert, Getchell. I used to do volunteer look-ups for people living away from this area but then life got too busy. Makes you feel like Santa Claus!|
I'm not connected to most of the memorials I have created. I will transfer out of Find a Grave guidelines unless it is my own family or a family I am actively researching. Please follow Find a Grave rules/guidelines concerning photos posted, flowers added etc. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you have about a memorial. I love to work with other researchers. If you send an edit please use the edit tab.

|Laura Petersen||RE: Asa and Abigail Turner|
Hi Christine, in my research, I have not found Asa and Abigail to have a daughter named Esther. There son Silas married Esther Goff Walker, b. 1793 on March 3, 1814. They had a daughter Esther Frances Turner. I don't know if we are talking about the same Esther G.

Is she family? If so would you like a transfer? If so, and any others please let me know.

You're welcome. It's a pleasure to help make memorials more complete and accurate. Keep up the good work.

Chris - The transfer came through. I have updated his memorial with additional info I had and also added him to my 6th Massachusetts Infantry Virtual Cemetery. Thank you for your help.

Chris - Thank you for creating those links. The transfer is also appreciated although it isn't showing up in my name yet.
|Tree Leaf||Huldah Butterfield|
Hello. Thank you for the additional information for Huldah Butterfield.
A while back someone gave me every page with that surname, that they had. I hadn't ask for but a couple of those. As a result I haven't been able to add to many of those pages, yet. I periodically get updates from other members. I don't like to appear I'm slacking but I simply don't know who most of them are. As or when I find things out I add the information.
I copied and pasted the memorial numbers as Huldah's spouses. However the number given for Henry Butterfield actually linked to a man named Lawson. Since your comment didn't mention a Lawson I erased that number once I saw the discrepancy.
I tried to look up Henry Butterfield but there are many Henry Butterfields in that area. I don't have Huldah in my tree so for now I have left it just with Elijah Gilbert.
Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.
