Genealogy and cemeteries are my hobbies. It started about 4 years ago when I was researching my relatives. I found that I had a great number of relatives that I did not even know about. It has been a very worthwhile endeavor. I have found and talked to some of my relatives that are still living. I found Find A Grave almost 2 years ago and found it was not only useful but helpful in tracing my relatives. I was able to find many of the cemeteries and Grave Markers for my relatives. I will try my best with photo requests to find that relative for you and take a photo. I will also do transfers of memorials for people I have created on Find A Grave, if a family wants to do more editing.
Herbert Lammers I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.
RE: St Michael Cemetery Photos You are very welcome. I have posted a few more today and may have a few more yet to post. I will have to go back to the cemetery to do some retakes tomorrow. Last time I was there it was to late to get good photos towards the west. - Bill
Bernard Welding Grave Photo Request Hi Robert, The last time I looked, there was no visible marker for Bernard Welding, so I added an area photo for him. Can you tell me what you are looking for specifically? A better area photo? Has a permanent marker been placed since the area photo was taken? Are you hoping someone will probe the area and cut sod to reveal a possible temporary marker? Please be specific, or I'm afraid you will be disappointed in the outcome. Take care, Bonita
RE: John Welding Grave Marker There are several volunteer's that go to Forest Lawn Cemetery. I think John might have been cremated, CRM as the plot location. I have found an obit for a Conrad Welding that died in 1919 in West Point Ne. I think might be John's son. Having trouble saving it but I'll e-mail it to you if I get it saved.
RE: Forest Lawn Mem Cemetery Photos Yes Robert, I am; however I have been elected to two positions in two veterans groups in Omaha coupled with some family medical issues which have limited my time. Hopefully, I can again get out in the fresh air and take photos. Don W.
