RE: Nettie McSwain
Hello, Robert. Thanks for your quick work in correcting that error. I figured it was just a matter of getting it in the wrong slot. Easy to do.

Thanks for your offer to transfer Nettie's memorial to me. I'd be glad to accept that. Thanks for your good work here.

Heflin Photos
You are welcome, for the photos I have put on the memorials Verlin & Eugene Heflin, at Bell's Chapel Cemetery. The photo for Verlin was taken in March 2014 and the photo of Eugene was taken in November 2014. Between the two dates of the photos, the plaque with Verlin's information has fallen off the headstone. It was just glued on. Also, I would like to know if you are related to Mary K. McKinley.

I wondered if perhaps this was a cremation...? In cremations where the ashes are not buried in Floral Haven, they have no record of the person.

I checked with the office at Floral Haven and they did not find Gerald in their burial records.

RE: Lonnie & Oleta Rankin
You are welcome - I'm always willing to help with photos & other info when I am able to do so.

I knew Lonnie Rankin for many years. Lonnie was extremely helpful in my research of my relatives in the Miles, Texas area back in the very early 1970's. Lonnie was kind enough to trust me with every Miles Messenger Newspaper published from the first publication through the early 1920's.
I poured through those old newspapers with a fine tooth comb seeking every article mentioning my ancestors. A long process when it was before the day when one could simply photocopy. My hundreds of pages of hand written articles were turned into typed pages.
Many of my ancestors were among the early day founders of Miles, Texas.
I had possession of those first 20 odd years of Miles Messenger Newspapers for almost 6 months before getting them all back to Lonnie.
In later years Lonnie could no longer find or recall what happened to those old papers. I had made notes of all the photos in those old papers and sure wanted to get copies of them once photocopying became available in this area.

Have a great day !
