I have been taking pictures since I was a child. I started out using my Mom's old box camera. I used her old Brownie camera for awhile too. In 1990, I bought a Pentax K 1000 then when my grandson graduated high school, I bought a digital camera. I still have the Pentax & get it out once in awhile to take pictures. It's a good camera & I can do a few things with it that I haven't mastered with the digital. |
I love taking pictures (got that from my Dad). In recent years, my hands are not as steady so I don't take as many pictures as I used to. I tell people that's why I take photos of headstones - they don't move around, you don't have to pose them, etc. LOL! Flowers are a good subject too!
Anyway, retirement & taking pictures are a good match! I also do genealogy, paint-by-numbers, volunteer at my church - I keep busy which is good. Have a good one!

|Joe Pearson||Bernhard Pearson|
The info you have down for Bernhard Pearson in the Ottumwa Cemetery is wrong.
He came arrived in the USA around 1896. He Married Anna Johanna Nelson on Nov 29 1899 in Ottumwa. they had the following children
Carl Wilhelm Pearson
Clarence Bernhard Pearson
Elmer Gottfrid Pearson
Ellen Albertina Pearson
John Arthur Pearson
His Wife Anna died in 1950 and is buried a couple rows behind Bernhard. The last name is spelled wrong on the stone due to engraver error and the family did not have the money to fix it/never got around to it.

By the sound of your bio, you're a busy person, but very happy. I hope you will find time to answer me.
Thank you for taking pictures of John Francis Webber Find A Grave Memorial# 86229796. They are excellent pictures (the headstones really did hold still for you).
I'd like to ask your permission to use these photos and any other photos you've taken of my relatives headstones on this site and add them to my family tree on ancestry. I don't use my tree for any kind of profit. I work on it pretty much every day of my life and its helped me immensely with issues in my life.
By all means I'll give you credit for your photos. Thanks for taking the time to serve others with your talents.

Have A Great Day!

Could we put that short obit on Marcus De Lafayette Spurlock's memorial, Please! It might help other researchers, and I have run into some of his descendants that might be looking.
Thanks for all you do! It is appreciated.
