Bio

Genealogy has been of interest to me since I was a young girl. My Uncle Howard Sewell (my Mother's brother) was the first of my relatives to begin researching our ancestors; he then passed it on to my Cousin's Helen (Ireland) Knoblock and Marion "Bud" Ireland. Bud and I worked together for many years providing information and pictures through a private family website for our Sewell and Hierlmeier families.

I recently finished assisting my brother with his book about our parents. I contributed many pictures, and genealogy information dating back to our first relative to come to America, England Immigrant, Thomas Sewell,through William " Billy" Sewell and his second wife, Sarah Letitia (Brown) Sewell, their son, George Michael married Anna Adella (White); they are my grandparents. My mother was Anna Dell (Sewell) who married my father, Glendon Joseph Hierlmeier.

William, or "Billy" as he was called, is my great-grandfather. His first wife was Lydia (Baer). When she died, along with several of their eight children, he then married my great-grandmother Sarah Letitia (Brown) and they had an additional seven children. Their first born was Sarah Myrtella (Sewell), who was known by various nicknames; Myrtle, Myrna, and Mernie. My mother talked about her Aunt Mernie in her interview memoirs, which my sister arranged. My grandfather George Michael Sewell was the third child of Billy and Sarah. Unfortunately, my great-grandmother, Sarah Letitia [Lutitia], also died (at age of 52), leaving my great-grandfather alone once again.

My family line;

Thomas Sewell m. Hannah (Keller)
William Sewell, m. (Sarah Ward)
William "Billy" Sewell m. second Sarah Letitia [Lutitia] (Brown)
George Michael m. Anna Adella (White)
Anna Dell Sewell m. Glendon Joseph Hierlmeier (my parents)
