Member & Secretary of the Vauxhall Cemetery Committee. I have photographed all the headstones at the Vauxhall Cemetery and have catalogued those headstones and burial plots. |
If I can be of any assistance in photographing any of the Southern Alberta Cemeteries please contact me and I will try to accomodate you.
If I have made any mistakes in my entries, please contact me and I will correct the errors or make transfers.
As I walk through Cemeteries I sometimes fantasize about my ancestors and those long gone, what their lives must have been like, the losses, & hardships they may have suffered, The happiness of a simple life back then. This poem says it all.
Your Tombstone stands among the rest,
Neglected and alone.
The name and dates are chiseled here,
On polished marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care,
Though it is too late to mourn.
You do not know that I exist,
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you,
In flesh, in blood, and bone.
The place you filled so many years ago,
I wonder if you could have known,
Would spread among the ones you left
In all the seeds you've sown.
I wonder if you lived and loved?
I wonder if you ever knew?
That someday I would find you in this spot,
And come to visit you?

How do I post a photo ?
|Paula Reynolds||Joseph Crower|
I have a family photo of Joseph Crower, if it can be added to his site on 'Find a Grave'. It is the only known photo of him.

Thank you for posting a 'Find a Grave' for my great grandfather, Joseph Crower. I have a birth date for him that you can add on the website. Joseph Crower was born on March 19, 1859 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. He died on his birthday March 19, 1930. Do you have a photo of his gravestone?
Thank you again,
|VR Park||Urangetta Scott #96633243|
The reason I requested a photo for this memorial was because I believe the ladies name was Marietta, not Urangetta and I thought that a photo could clear this up. Anyway thanks for trying and also I believe the obituary you adds is for this person.
I will remove my photo request but if you are ever back to this cemetery maybe you could watch for a marker for Marietta Scott.
Thank You Vic
