I have a great interest in genealogy as my ancestors have been in Centre County PA since the late 1700's. On my father’s side my ancestors moved to Centre County from Baltimore where my 5th GGF was born in 1709. On my mother’s side of the family, in the early 1800's our family started the first tannery in Philipsburg and in the mid 1800's founded The Daily Journal, a local newspaper.
