I was wondering if they had gotten the permanent marker up yet? I know there was a problem with it and had to have some changes made to it. Would appreciate if you could check it out and post a picture if the permanent one is up.

I forgot to mention.....
Thank you so much for trying to find Lucy Smith at Riverside Cemetery. I have withdrawn the photo request and have her listed as an unmarked grave, although it may have been destroyed by now. I appreciate all of your effort back in July, so sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now. Take care.

You said that you grew up with him. Did he happen to grow up in Kentucky or Oregon? I'm just wondering as I am a Burkhart descendant, possibly related to him, depending upon where he was born, etc., although it appears he grew up in Kentucky, while most of the Burkharts I know about came from Germany to Pennsylvania, then to Md., and settled in Tennessee. My 3x gt. grandparents came from TN to Oregon in 1847, which is why so many of my close ancestors are in Oregon. I mainly sponsored him because I had a science teacher in high school who lost his son in Vietnam. That summer, I went & donated money to the Albany Library in his memory. The heck of it is, I can't even remember the teacher's name any longer, except that it brought the war in Vietnam much closer to me. Then, after both my stepbrothers graduated from high school, they both joined the Navy (1967 & 1969) and served for six yrs. each. I am still grateful that they both came home safely. Take Care.

I am sponsoring the memorial you created for this brave man, just two years older than me, who died while I was still in high school. It really makes one think.... At any rate, he has a cenotaph, a memorial where he is not buried but is honored, at the Oregon Vietnam Veterans Memorial here in Portland, Oregon, and someone has created a Find A Grave memorial for him so he has two memorials, Find A Grave#88465258 and Find A Grave#127428824. I am hoping they can be linked somehow. I know there is reference to it in the Find A Grave guidelines and I'd like to see him honored in both places as I know you both meant it from the heart. I appreciate all of the work and research you did for him on your great memorial. Thank you so very much. With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR

Thank you for the picture of the temporary headstone of Rita Moore. There is suppose to be a permanent one installed in the next 1-1/2 - 2 months. Would appreciate it if you would check it out at that time and post a picture of it.
Thanks for the photo of Dad's grave in Lebanon.

Dear J.Richard Davis,
We would like to use the photo you posted on findagrave.com for the IOOF & Masonic Cemetery,
39302 Cemetery Road, Lebanon, Oregon.
We have a relative that is buried there and would like to add your cemetery gate area photo on his page with ancestry.com, giving your name credit of said photo.
Thank you sir for posting the photo as we live in Ohio and too far for us to travel and take our own photos, and for your time to this request of use. Await your reply in kind.
