My interest in genealogy started when I was a child of about 10. I found a genealogy booklet a distant cousin had given my Mother. I loved reading about all the people she had told stories about. I tried to follow the number system to see how each one was related to me. Many years later when I was going through a pile of papers at my Mother's home, I found one long paper with my grandmother's family starting with her and going three generations back. Well, that was the start of a wonderful search for the rest of the family. I researched for many years and stopped several years ago, when many of my lines hit a brick wall. A cousin told me about Find a Grave a couple of weeks ago, and I have been working on it. This is a great site. I am working on the grave site for the memorials and also trying to break down those brick walls.
