I am a retired elementary teacher and I enjoy meeting people, volunteering at our local hospital and genealogy. |
I visit cemeteries often and I help my father with his work at our family, now public cemetery..Maple Grove Cemetery in Marathon County, WI. Most of our family is buried there. We have information on all of the deceased buried there.
I enjoy helping others with their family trees since I was given a great amount of information from people to assist me in my tree.
We visit certain cemeteries frequently, so I would be able to assist people with photos of the headstones.
You may use my photos, BUT PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT FOR TAKING THE PHOTOS, when you do use them or post them, a simple statement like, "Thanks LMM for taking the photo" will at least be an acknowledgement.

|Lori B||Mathie, Frank|
Hi - I was in Pine Grove cemetery and found Frank Mathie and took photos of all the Mathies in the block 6, lot 32. My problem is that I found 2 memorials for Francis S. "Frank" Mathie. I asked a question to Bill Hart who created one of the memorials and he told me to always put the photo on the older memorial and since his was the newer memorial he would delete the one he made. His was #86505885 which is the one you used to make your photo request. Both memorials were very much alike but the older memorial #42849054 also had a picture of Frank. Bill Hart said I should put my photos on that memorial - #42849054 - so that is what I did. I put a monument photo and a headstone photo on the memorial. Just wanted you to know. Do you delete your photo request or do I? Wasn't sure about that. Let me know if there is anything I need to do. Also fulfilled the request for Otto Mathie and have 7 other Mathies that were in that block.

I edited the birth location per your request. I added your notes regarding the location too. The city, Malkocin, was not available as a selection to populate.

I tried to change the cemetery but am unable to locate the proper cemetery in Find A Grave, their is only one St. John's listed in Marathon County. Perhaps its not called St. Johns?

I made mine while doing some work at Marathon Co. Historical Society in Wausau. They have a plot book in the genealogy room. I did not get very far through the book before we moved from the area, my place marker may still be in there. It was a red hard cover book.
|Jim Christen||RE: Angela Utech Goetsch|
Thanks Lynn: It will be nice to have Angela linked to her parents and family. I see that you have the memorial for her sister Hertha Utech Gutknecht. She could be linked as well. I'll add the information on Alma to her memorial.

The direct email is in my bio: email@example.com. Anyone is free to contact me directly. I may have answered your question via Ancestry earlier today.
|History Bug||Alfred Genrich Correction|
I agree that Lydia Genrich (1894-?) was Alfred's sister, not his child. I have her place in the family pretty well documented in my family tree.
I don't know how the error happened. But, I can not correct. The contributor who manages Lydia's memorial #36425397 has to remove the incorrect parent link. Then link her with her correct parents Daniel Genrich (1865-1950) and Edna (Zahn) Genrich (1871-1920) who are also in St. Johns/Maine cemetery. You need to contact him.
I really appreciate all your efforts and care. We should compare trees sometime. We must overlap somewhere. Happy Holidays!

You are related to my daughter-in-law. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Carl Augustus Albrecht through his son Ferdinand Ludwig Wilhelm Albrecht and Ferdinand's daughter, Wilhelmina Alma (Albrecht)Poppen Roth.

Sorry. Sibley County merged the two wives. I can't even delete my memorial since the merge. Frustrating for sure!
|Edith Lueke||RE: Helke - Garske, Pine Grove|
I don't live in Wausau, but my Great Grandfather, Charles Garske, and his siblings Wilhelm, Ludwig (Louis - husband of Marie Helke) and August are ALL buried there. I have photos of some of the Garskes from there, including of Wilhelm's house, in front of which my Grandmother and two uncles (as children) are standing - back in perhaps the time when Charles was buried there...
Of course, descending from these four brothers are their wives and many of their children, most at Pine Grove.
I visited there one day last summer; would have liked to visit longer.
