I am a novice to this website; but have always loved to learn about my ancestors. My family loves to visit cemeteries where we know we have relatives to see if we can locate the gravesite. That's why I so appreciate everything everyone does on this site. My families I am researching are: Conner, Cooper, Cardwell, Pugh, Sheffield, Rust and Laird. I began with ancestry a couple of years ago and was hooked. I have found so much information on my ancestors I didn't have previously about their lives and struggles.

RE: Eddie (Thompson) Osborn
Thank you for the info Shirley, I've added Eddie's nickname. I did know the connection because my mom (Vada Reynolds) worked with Ed & Mae at the Camp Bowie laundry during WWII (not sure, but Eddie may have worked there a while too). They all always enjoyed seeing and visiting with each other. It is a small world!

John Rust
Small world.
My Wife is Cheri Jean Carter. Her Dad, Ed Carter, is John Rust's Great Grandson. He is from Keene, Texas.

I was born in Ravenna, Ohio and lived in Rootstown,Ohio most of my life.
Atwater and Rootstown are both in Portage County Ohio and touch at the NW corner of Atwater, SE corner of Rootstown.

Cheri and I met and live in the Prescott, AZ area.
My family, the Sheffields, came out of North Carolina into Georgia. my Grandfather moved to Akron in the 1920s to work at Goodyear.

There is a book about John Rust, by Cheri's Uncle Tom Carter. I've got it. I'll have to find it and send yiou the title.
Feel free to contact me. gumbydammit@cableone.net

Your husband is more closely related than I. Let's leave it as it is. Thank you.

RE: Johnston link
I have created the links to her parents. Whomever created her son's memorial will have to link him to his mother. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to link from the parent's memorial to the child's, only from the child's to the parent's.

Veta Sheffield Memorial
Thank you for the information below you sent me for Veta Sheffield. Any family information is always helpful.

Thank you, Grave_Walker
==========================================

Your email to me; According to my grandmother, Fannie Elizabeth (Conner) Sheffield, Veta is buried in the same plot as her parents and other siblings in the Sheffield family plot in the Santa Anna Cemetery. For as long as I can remember when we visited my grandfather, James Thomas, grave with my parents and grandmother, they would tell us who all was buried in the plot; but all did not have markers. Over the years some of the metal nameplates left by the funeral home have been removed or lost. At other time when we visited, we have found them in the surrounding area and returned them; but not all have been located. Thank you for adding this information for my family.
