Pisgah Cemetery Max Genea, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be glad to put you in contact with the people involved in the very active Pisgah Cemetery Association. As you know, it is a beautiful church and cemetery and lovingly cared for by descendants and the community.
Mollie B Wood Photo Max, Thank you for posting the photo of Mollie B Wood's gravestone. It says you posted it in April 2014 (this year!) Little Mollie is very likely the daughter of my great-great grandparents (J.L. and C.E. Wood). It was like finding a treasure when I saw this photo. We are visiting Pisgah Cemetery this month to find additional family graves. Could you please tell me a little about this photo?! Did you take the photo? When was it taken? And is this gravestone still there? I am so interested in knowing a little more about it because we have hit a bit of a dead end with her parents. Thank you so very much! Lindsy
Jesse Williams Hi Max, thanks for the information you sent through. I have added the information to the memorial. You are welcome to use any of the photos I have posted for your personal family tree on ancestry. Take care, Ann
Milton Masters Thank you for the correction. I have the City Cemetery booklet and the date is listed as 1909.
One thing, when you ask for someone to be linked to parents or spouse, be sure to give the ID number. That will ensure the correct person is linked, as in the case of the husband. Thanks again, I appreciate it.
RE: The Original Kid Twist That is fantastic!! Max Zweifach is a very important figure in NYC history yet very little is known about him which includes Herbert Ashbury's "Gangs of New York".. you must share some of the information or photos you have.
Do you know exactly where in Coney Island he was killed or addresses where he lived.
Harry "Gyp the Blood" Horowitz is also buried in Mount Zion but the grave stones where he is approximately buried are too old to properly identify, so it was a thrill to know that Zweifach is also buried there. You are very lucky to have such an interesting relative and must be excited.
