Bio

I have spent many years having a wonderful time in old records rooms, hunched over a microfilm reader or a record book and walking through cemeteries. I cannot explain the feeling of kinship that comes over me when I stand before the final resting place of an ancestor, but I am sure you know this feeling.
My lines are: Dempsey, Dooley, Mallady,Thorne, Miller,Westfall, Callaway, Heflin, Moore, Boatright, Rodgers, Carrier, Patterson, Vineyard & Gasaway. Most of these came into the southern states and eventually settled in the southern part of Illinois.
My husband's lines are: Miller, Smith, Shriner, Exline,Weihe, Ankney, Hughes, Pierce, and Brown. Smith & Miller came into the U.S. from Canada & Germany/France as far as I have found. The Ankney lines came from PA., others ended up in Nebraska by way of Ohio.
If you find any corrections or additions to my memorials please let me know. If you have a closer connection than I do, I will be glad to transfer memorial to you. Please do not add family members to my memorials unless you are certain they are correct and documented.
