Bio Photo Revised 9/5/16

Genealogy is more than just boring names and dates
genealogy comes to life when you realize these are real people
with real lives, real dreams, real problems, real work, real families . . . (Dennis Yancey)

You may use my photos for non-commercial genealogy use. Credit as the person who provided the photo would be appreciated. This includes the few paintings I have included.

I appreciate all work done by FAG volunteers and I want to thank YOU ALL for being so generous and kind while working with me.

I've now been entrusted with memorials at three cemeteries.

1. Shannon Rose Hill in Fort Worth, TX
2. Sturdivant Cemetery in Mineral Wells, TX
- About 50 miles West of Fort Forth
3. Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR - In the NW corner of Arkansas

I am looking forward to helping in any way I can if you have friends and family in these cemeteries.

I read the bio's of everyone whose photos I use for my personal tree on Ancestry. If I have inadvertently used a photo that isn't available for sharing, I will remove it immediately. My intent is to make my tree as interesting and full as possible, not to misuse someone else's property. I label every photo I use with the contributors name.

Father's family, interested in Saar, Clark, Clatfelter, Craig, Hollar and Chapman.

Mother's family, interested in Wimmer, McKibben, Eagleson, Blake, Minnick and Benson.

Also interested in Kastelic and Daniels, Reda and Cukjati, Curry and Tharp, Skonberg and Wilson, Leone and O'Meara.

Of course, I'm always interested in the rest of my extended families.

Unless otherwise specified, my memorials are to be transferred to FIND A GRAVE Administration when I can no longer care for them.

duplicate memorial
Hi Beckie --

I've discovered through family research that 158139498 is the same person as your memorial 51874548.

The original creator was unaware of Verena's second husband's name or her burial location and thus didn't have the proper search info. She ultimately transferred her memorial to me, and after that I disovered the duplicate. (Originally that memorial was listed as 'unknown burial location.')

Because this is not a close family member, but now has a lot of accurate info on it, I can see a couple ways of handling it:

a. you could delete 51874548 after moving the tombstone photo to 158139498.

b. you could update all the info on your memorial 51874548 using memorial 15813948, and then I can delete 15813948. (probably it would be polite to list laVerne as a contributor in that case.)

let me know your preferences.... thanks

Additional Info
RE: Annie Mae Darnell Smith, buried at Shannon Hills Memorial, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas

It is indicated on the brief write-up for this cemetery there is information needed on her parents. I am a distant direct line relative of her father and am currently researching both.

Her mother was Emma Lowrey Darnell, born in Tennessee, 2/10/1868-5/10/1931. She is interred at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California.

While it is assumed her husband is also buried there, I have yet to find that info. They both died in 1931, Emma before her husband William Bennett Darnell.

If I find further information, I will pass it on to you.

Thank you.

Dear Ms. Leone,

Do you any information on the parents of this person? I think it could be a lost cousin.

Thank you,

I wondered if you would allow me the honor of managing this memorial. Lillie was my great-grandmother and my grandmother her oldest daughter. My mother was an only child, and I her only daughter, so I was at Great Grandma's a lot until she passed away, and many of her belongings are treasures in my home. -Rebecca
