Mary Jane Comeau Ashford in Valley Cemetery
Hi Lisa,

Another mystery solved (although you probably didn't know it was one)!. Although her death record indicates that she was buried in the Valley Cemetery, she was not. She was buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery where her husband was later interred. At that time, Valley was a more "upscale" cemetery. Valley was older and much smaller and likely all of the available plots were already sold. Pine Grove had only been open for a while but was much larger (180 acres) so they had more room for "public" burials. The sections are called Public Grounds. She was buried 2 days after her death and she is only 6 graves away from Henry. Please fix her cemetery burial to properly identify it as Pine Grove. I've already posted a S.A.C. to add her plot information.

Henry Ashford /Pine Grove, Manchester, NH

Hi again Lisa,

I apologize for the confusion, but I erred on the burial location for Henry (trying to do too many things at once!). He is in Section 57 Lot 509.

Henry Ashford /Pine Grove, Manchester, NH
Hi Lisa,

I've confirmed with the cemetery office Supervisor that Henry Ashford is indeed in the Pine Grove Cemetery. However, He is buried in "Public Ground" where monuments are not allowed. Public Ground is where individuals who have died are buried when there was nobody to take care of financial matters subsequent to their death. Please let me know if you'd like a photo of the section and I can also include an image of the section he is buried in which is Section 51 on the Cemetery map and he is buried in plot 2618. If you don't want them, please consider removing your Photo Request so that the Cemetery office does not get repeated burial location requests.

Thank you,

Rick Weaver

It feels good to help connect families, alive and memorialized.

All the best,

My Great, Great Grandfather was Ole Christiansen Solberg 1854-1927. I see a lot of Solberg's here. Have I come to the right place?

Thank You,

Elizabeth"Bettey" Soule
The 3rd time was the charm, found her. There were no husbands buried there that I could find. I did find a Violet "Louise" Soule buried next to her with the same type of headstone which I photographed and added to the find a site cem. site. I figured she is probably a sister-in-law?
