Thank you Ed & Dori... brought tears to my eyes to see these beautiful stones. Harold was my grandmother's first husband and he died young of TB. Very, very sad. Thank you again for all that you have done for me and do for others. You are gems in this genealogical pebble-filled world. :-) May you have a very Happy Thanksgiving... Blessings, Deb

RE: Samuel Graham 2nd marriage
Yes! I was gone from home yesterday & just got back. I found it now, too! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I will try to figure out what happened to her... Both have unknown on prior spouse, but I KNOW that he was married previously. She, on the other hand, not certain as she married under Pirie and lists her father as Pirie, too... Such fun to find things like this though... Please let Ed know how much I appreciate what he has (& what you have) done to help me on family history / mysteries... Hugs, Deb

RE: Samuel Graham 135794619
I tried to call you, but no answer. I am not even sure I had the right phone number. Do you want me to give you some $$ for scanning/copies? I would be happy to do so. I think you have my email, but I will look to see if I can find yours. Computer crashed last fall and still working on coordinating all the address book, etc. Thanks a million for your help / dedication to finding answers! Hugs, Deb

RE: Samuel Graham 135794619
Oh my gosh Dori, thank you so much for thinking of me and remembering this! I have one article (not a complete obit) and pulled where it is from... It is a very small one from Curtis Enterprise of Jul 15, 1892. No, I do not have any estate papers. Newspaper says: "Samuel Graham, father of county attorney Graham, was found dead in bed last Tuesday morning. The cause of his death not known, but it is supposed to have been due to heart trouble. Mr. Graham was an old resident of this county, and enjoyed the esteem of a vast circle of friends." His son mentioned in the article was named Loyal Mateer Graham, a county attorney and later Nebraska State Senator (later he moved to Oregon in early 1900's and died here in Oregon). I have that he died in "Maywood". I don't know where I got that and was most likely from my mother... as to where his property had been (?) not sure about that. Hugs and many thanks! He was my 2nd great grandfather. He and my 2nd great grandmother divorced (I have those papers). It was said that soon after arriving in Nebraska (1884-1885?) he answered a woman's ad for a husband. She arrived, they married but she left, unable to handle the new frontier. I have no documentation of her name / any marriage or divorce for them either. But that is not so important to me as there were no children from that marriage. Many, many thanks for thinking of me... Hugs, Deb
