Bio and Links
Bio Photo I came across FindAGrave doing genealogical research for my ancestors. I found an ancestor's grave on the site and requested a photo. Almost "instantly" one of the wonderful folks associated with this community took a picture and posted it. I was hooked and knew that I was going to have to do my part. I don't have a lot of free time but enjoy searching out spots in local cemeteries for folks who need photos taken. Connecting to your ancestors and the history around them is important for lots of reasons, not the least of which is understanding that ultimately we're all connected.

Clan Morrison is the line that I am most actively researching so if you are or know a Morrison, shoot me an email.

RE: Winfield Scott and Evangeline Hayes Morrison
Ellen, a postscript to my last. Researching a little further, I find that all three of the Morrison girls married in the 1940s. Mary married William J. Comerford, Jane married John R. Kearney, Geraldine married Ed Richards. Geraldine passed away in 2000, Mary in 1997, Jane in 1968.

RE: Winfield Scott and Evangeline Hayes Morrison
Hi, thanks for the response!

1) Mary Evangeline Morrison (1914-1997) went to University of Michigan and a few years later (June 1942) married William J. Comerford of Detroit. I think Comerford was originally from Buffalo. According to the marriage notice, they were going to live in Grosse Pointe. They may have moved to Texas in the late 40s but I'm not certain. I haven't found any children.
2) Jane M. Morrison (1916-1999), no information for spouse or issue.
3) Geraldine E. Morrison (1918-2000) married Robert E. ('Ed') Richards (1915-2001) and had two sons, Thomas (1950- ) and James (1952 - ). They mainly lived in Broadalbin, NY, Ed's hometown. The two sons were living respectively in Camarillo, CA and Broadalbin, NY as of 2001.

I have some social and obit clippings for the above. You can shoot me a note at margot [AT] nwfirst [DOT] com.

Winfield Scott and Evangeline Hayes Morrison
I noticed your note when I looked up this grave. These were first cousins, thrice removed, of mine. Evangeline was the daughter of my great-great-grandfather's youngest brother.
